This is a balanced strategy aimed at securing an economic advantage. It matches the Vaylin in the game lore.
The build order should ultimately result in more ressources and a superior force to your opponent. It operates on the principle of building a Town if your opponent remains at the Camp stage, and upgrading to a Capitol if they advance to a Town. This approach ensures you consistently outpace your opponent in terms of the economy. You will also get your Guildhall early on to receive more Workers. However, you will have to delay your Academies and you will thus fall back on the Evolutions. A second-turn Town is generelly a good option against most build orders.
Basic build order
- Turn 1: Save your gold and workers for the next turn.
- Turn 2: Sell one Worker, build a Town
- Turn 3: Build a Guildhall
- Turn 4: Build an Armory, train 3 Sentries
- Turn 5: Build a Capitol (only if your opponent builds a Town)
When to use
- Your evolution cards don’t fit well together.
- You have several tech evolution cards or your evolution cards require a low academy level.
- Your opponent seems to go for a mildly aggressive strategy.
- You start the game.
Strong against
- Good against aggresssive strategies (e.g. Rider Aggression) and balanced strategies.
Weak against
- Weak against build orders fokussing on Druids.
